2008 Wavier Draft

The wavier draft is designed to help teams that don't have enough coverage for a season. These players can only be signed to a 1 year deal and may not be extended. My feelings on this matter is that we should do away with this draft as you are allowed to sign 60 players in NOSL and in most leagues you are only allowed to sign 40 players. So there is no reason that we should have to have this draft if owners run their team in a correct manor. I will push for a rule change on this at next years winter meeting. You draft the Waiver Draft, you must keep him for the entire season, you cannot trade him, you cannot trade the pick, you cannot buyout his contract during the season, and lastly you cannot retain him at the end of the season.
